Your vacation house is located in the heart of Mesa Gonia, a town close to Kamari and Pyrgos. The area is also known as ''Ghost Town'' for its impressive demolished and abandoned cave houses that resulted from the earthquake of 1956. This is of course not anymore a ''ghost's town,'' since the number of inhabitants and villas is slowly increasing. Though the structure and architecture has been kept traditional in it's original form.
The village attracts people who want to explore it's hidden paths and take a closer look at the locals simple life. There is a blue domed church close to your apartments as well as two Wineries and a restaurant. Here you will stay away from the hustle and bustle of the touristic Santorini and enjoy the serenity of nature. Though you won't be far away from the sea, just 5 minutes by car, and only 15 minutes to get to the capital.
Getting around:
Good bus connection on the main road between Kamari Beach and Fira the capital. The distance between the house and the bus station is 10 minutes walking. There is enough parking space on the street by the village's entrance, which is 200 meters away from the house.
